Every church has its own style of worship. We think you’ll enjoy the services at Mt. Olive, but as in any church, it may take a couple of Sundays to become accustomed to our way of praising God and proclaiming what he has done. Each week the service is printed in the worship folder. All the Scripture readings, hymns, and prayers are printed there for you. You are certainly welcome to bring along your own Bible and follow along if you choose.
Worship at Mt. Olive is liturgical worship; that is, it follows a pattern of worship – the liturgy – used in the Christian Church for almost 2,000 years. Our worship services have one major theme taken from the Scripture Readings for a given week. The sermon, hymns, and prayers all strive to focus on that theme.
You’re welcome to visit us in person anytime! Our Events page will always have an updated schedule of worship events, but services are normally held on Thursdays at 6:30 PM and on Sundays at 9 AM. If you can’t join us in person, take a moment to check out a Livestream of worship on Sundays at 9 AM or watch an archived service at your convenience.
